Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, . This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide support with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Facilitate mobility and transport clients as needed, including driving them to appointments or social activities. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients. Administer first aid when necessary Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Ensure the home environment is safe, clean, and conducive to client comfort.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care, patient care, or senior care is highly desirable. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies is beneficial. Certification in first aid is preferred. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of all clients. Previously experience in : mental health, brain injury, dementia, stroke would be an advantage but training given Pass on dbs check or have it on the update system
