We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive Care Team Leader to join our dedicated team in a specialist dementia care home. This pivotal role involves leading a team of care staff to deliver exceptional, person-centred care to residents living with dementia, ensuring their dignity, safety, and wellbeing are always prioritised.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and support care staff in delivering high-quality dementia care
Ensure care plans are followed, updated, and tailored to individual resident needs
Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for residents
Act as a role model for best practice in dementia care and safeguarding
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and contribute to training and development
Monitor and maintain compliance with CQC standards and internal policies
Respond to emergencies and incidents with professionalism and empathy
Support the emotional wellbeing of residents through meaningful engagement and activities
About You:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Proven experience in dementia care, ideally in a leadership role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
Commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement
