We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Care Team Leader to oversee the night care operations in our specialist dementia care home. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of our residents during night hours, while leading and supporting a team of care staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the night care team, ensuring high standards of person-centred care Monitor and respond to residents' needs, particularly those with dementia-related challenges Administer medication in line with care plans and regulatory standards Conduct regular checks and maintain accurate records throughout the night Support residents with personal care, emotional reassurance, and safety Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control policies Liaise with on-call management in case of emergencies or incidents Mentor and train junior staff, promoting a culture of empathy and excellence Contribute to care planning and handover reports for day staff

About You:

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) Proven experience in dementia care and team leadership Strong understanding of safeguarding and CQC standards Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills Calm, resilient, and able to manage challenging behaviours compassionately Medication administration training (preferred) Ability to work independently and lead by example during night shifts
