1. To lead as "person-in-charge" of shift in the absence of a manager or Deputy.
2. To assist where possible in times of sickness and holiday cover.
3. When "person-in-charge" to ensure that all staff under your leadership contribute to the efficient running of the home and create a professional atmosphere at all times.
4. Support people who use the service with all personal care needs as documented in their care and support plan. Providing health supervision and attention through direct care as required.
5. Administer medication as required, ensuring stock control is monitored and documented according to legislation.
6. Help to oversee that all communal areas are properly cleaned and maintained in line with home's high standards.
7. Participate and assist in general staff meetings and training. Participate in monthly staff meetings.
8. Support the management team by maintaining records and all documentation as required.
9. Undertake specific duties as required to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all people who use the service.
10. To answer the front door and greet visitors with courtesy and respect, ensuring that every visitor signs the visitor's book.
11. To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a respectful manner, to promote the dignity, well-being and independence of each individual.
12. To be pro-active in providing service users who have been identified as nearing end of life with high quality care, that recognises and maintains their dignity, choice and wishes at all times to ensure service users achieve a good death.
13. To undertake other reasonably requested duties as may be required, thus ensuring the smooth running of the home.
14. To perform on call duties to cover holidays and sickness.
