Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Team Leader to oversee and coordinate care services within our care home specialising in senior residential and dementia care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading a team of senior care staff and care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and maintaining a safe and compassionate environment for residents. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership skills and a passion for elderly care to make a positive impact on residents' lives.

Responsibilities



Lead, supervise, and motivate care staff to deliver exceptional person-centred care in accordance with care plans and organisational policies. Oversee daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures. Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Foster effective communication between residents, families, staff, and external healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Monitor the quality of care provided, conducting regular care observations and audits and providing feedback to improve service standards. Organise staff rota changes, manage shift coverage, and support team development through training and mentorship. Ensure accurate documentation of care activities, incident reports, and resident records using electronic systems. Support residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence whilst respecting their dignity and preferences. Drive organisational initiatives aimed at enhancing resident wellbeing and staff performance. Share on-call duties with Registered manager supporting and advising staff out of hours.

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care environment. Level 3 or 4 diploma in adult social care. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and team members. Valid driving licence is desirable when assessing new residents in the community, for residents outings or appointments. Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs. Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, reporting incidents to relevant partner organisations, health & safety regulations, and compliance standards relevant to elderly care. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
