We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team, committed to providing exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly
Support residents with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents during meal times
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces
Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition, including dementia or Alzheimer's symptoms
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers
Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote social engagement and well-being
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop comprehensive care plans
Qualifications
Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, hospice care, autism support, and working with people with developmental disabilities is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance
Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and patient observation tasks
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
Experience using care equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's is desirable
Understanding of safety protocols related to medication administration and patient care standards
