Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and care to individuals in need, particularly seniors and those with dementia. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive and personalised care. The Care Worker will assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe living space for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.

Experience

Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with patient care practices, particularly in senior care and dementia care, is advantageous. A background in nursing or relevant qualifications would be beneficial but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. A genuine passion for providing care and support to those in need is essential for success in this role.
