Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our Carlisle team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a variety of settings, including home care and senior care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with an emphasis on maintaining dignity and respect for those receiving assistance.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Implement behaviour management techniques as necessary to ensure a safe environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Support children in childcare settings by engaging in educational activities and ensuring their safety. Respond promptly to client needs and requests, demonstrating patience and understanding.

Skills

Strong background in patient care, with experience in home care or senior care settings preferred. Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to manage behaviours effectively while providing compassionate care. Experience in meal preparation catering to specific dietary needs is advantageous. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is essential. A nurturing attitude towards children is beneficial for those working in childcare environments. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
