You will work in the community, travelling between clients, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with CQC standards and company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Personal Care (Regulated Activity)
Assist with bathing, washing, showering and oral hygiene
Support with dressing and undressing
Assist with toileting, continence management, catheter/stoma support (where trained)
Support with personal grooming and skincare
Promote dignity, respect and choice at all times
2. Medication Support
Prompting or administering medication (if trained and signed off)
Recording medication on MAR charts accurately
Reporting medication errors or concerns immediately
3. Nutrition & Hydration
Prepare meals according to dietary needs
Assist with feeding where required
Encourage hydration and monitor intake
Report concerns around weight, appetite or wellbeing
4. Mobility & Independence
Assist clients with standing, walking and transfers
Use hoists, slide sheets and mobility aids safely (if trained)
Support clients to maintain independence as much as possible
Encourage participation in exercises and mobility plans
5. Domestic Support
Light cleaning, tidying and household tasks
Laundry, bed making and changing
Shopping and collecting prescriptions
Assisting with household organisation
6. Social & Emotional Support
Provide companionship and build trusted relationships
Support with social activities and community engagement
Accompany clients to appointments
Promote mental wellbeing and reduce loneliness
7. Record Keeping & Reporting
Complete daily visit notes accurately
Record incidents, changes in condition, or concerns promptly
Maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR
Follow reporting lines for safeguarding or emergencies
8. Communication & Professional Conduct
Communicate clearly with clients, families and colleagues
Attend meetings and training as required
Represent Sterling Nova Care with professionalism at all times
REQUIREMENTS (ESSENTIAL)

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to travel between clients
Must be 18+
DESIRABLE
Experience in care (paid or unpaid)
NVQ Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care
Car driver with access to vehicle
Experience working with vulnerable adults
