Job Title:

Carer / Support Worker - Barking & Dagenham

Purpose of the Role

To deliver high-standard, person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes ,encouraging independence, dignity, and well-being.

Client Details:

Dagenham client:

prefers a carer who can speak

Bengali

.

Chingford client:

open to any carer, no language preference. Both clients need help with personal care, daily tasks, and companionship.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personal care, including assistance with

bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming

, in accordance with individual care plans. Support clients with

meal preparation, medication prompts

, hydration, and feeding when required. Help clients with

mobility and safe transfers

, using appropriate equipment and techniques. Foster a sense of

independence, dignity, and respect

for all clients. Build positive, professional relationships with clients and their families. Monitor and

report changes in health or wellbeing

to senior staff. Maintain accurate

daily care records

and follow safeguarding procedures. Adhere to health and safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements & Qualities

A

caring, compassionate, and reliable

nature. Previous experience in care sector. NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) is an advantage.

Full UK driving licence

and access to a car preferred (mileage paid). Willingness to

work flexible shifts

, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Good

communication and interpersonal

skills. Basic understanding of

confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.
