The ideal candidate will provide essential support and assistance to individuals requiring care, including seniors, hospice patients, and those living with dementia. This role demands a high level of empathy, reliability, and a strong commitment to delivering quality care.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times. Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in care work or a related field is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of dementia care and hospice care practices is highly desirable. Certification in First Aid is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks when assisting clients with mobility needs. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals.
