Job Description

As a Care Worker with CrossReach, you'll support people to live with dignity, confidence and comfort. You'll help with daily routines such as personal care, mealtimes and social activities, working alongside families, colleagues and professionals to make sure each person receives the right support.


Your work will make a real difference, helping people feel safe, respected and at home.

What Your Day Might Look Like

No two days are the same. You could be helping someone get ready for the day, supporting with medication, sharing a chat over a cup of tea or accompanying someone on a short walk. You'll notice small changes in people's wellbeing and make sure they get the support they need. Throughout it all, you'll bring patience, kindness and a calm presence.

About You

You're kind, patient and able to put others at ease. You're flexible with your time and happy to work shifts, including evenings and weekends. You respect our Christian ethos and the beliefs of everyone we support. You also have basic digital skills or are willing to learn.


You don't need previous care experience. If you're someone who notices when others need a bit of help, offers support without being asked and takes pride in helping people feel valued, you could be an excellent fit for this role.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
