We are currently looking for experienced team members to support our clients, whose conditions vary from dementia, autism, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. The support will primarily be personal care and assistance around their homes. This role is available on a bank staff basis.
Semper Care is an established domiciliary care provider based in Kirklees and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves in enabling our service users to maintain their independence as much as possible, as well as investing in the personal and professional development of our staff.
We provide all required training for FREE. We also provide one-to-one guidance for staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
This role covers multiple areas, including
Dewsbury, Batley, Cleckheaton,
and
Huddersfield
.
Job responsibilities:
To assist service users in their own home with general day-to-day tasks such as personal care, washing and dressing, meal preparation, and assisting with medications.
Report any incidents or concerns to management and follow protocol as specified in the policies and procedures.
Befriend the service user in a professional capacity, understanding their needs, and helping them to become more independent.
Essential Requirements:
A genuine desire to help others.
Good communication skills. The ability to understand and respond to verbal and nonverbal communications.
Ability to remain calm and manage situations effectively in any time of crisis.
Continuity in carrying out good practice.
Flexible and adaptable.
Driving license and use of a vehicle for work.
Communicating in a friendly, patient manner.
Desirable Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 in health and social care.
Training and experience in working with individuals with challenging behaviour.
Counselling skills.
