Duties

As a Care Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation Providing companionship and emotional support to clients Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring health conditions Supporting clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary Implementing behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia care Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in caregiving or a related field such as senior care, hospice care, or childcare Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols Familiarity with medication administration practices A caring attitude towards individuals with varying levels of ability and health conditions Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
