We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their living environment. This role requires a strong understanding of care, including experience with dementia care and behaviour management. The Care Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. PREFERABLY A DRIVER
Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
Assist clients with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
Support clients in daily activities and encourage independence while ensuring safety.
Assist clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with special needs or dementia.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising staff.
Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being.
Experience
Previous experience in home care, hospital, supported living, or a similar role is highly desirable.
Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols is an advantage.
Experience working with vulnerable adult, particularly those with dementia or behavioural challenges, is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families are crucial for success in this role.
