Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care, including experience in home care, dementia care, and hospice care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and attention.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health status. Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care role is highly desirable, particularly in home care, dementia care, or hospice settings. Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and health monitoring practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy. A valid driver's licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and improving the lives of others.

Pay: 12.30-12.50 per hour
