Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or hospice needs Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment Drive clients to appointments or outings when required Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members Support with child care responsibilities where applicable

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia and Alzheimer's care Experience in medication administration and basic first aid certification is advantageous Familiarity with behaviour management strategies for individuals with special needs or behavioural challenges Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively when required Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties Experience in childcare or hospice care is a plus but not essential
