We are Jet Care Limited, and we deliver exceptional support services for people aged 18 and over who have learning disabilities, autism, mental ill health and associated complex needs.



We are recruiting Care Workers to join the team across our Domiciliary Care and Supported Living Services in Nottingham and surrounding areas supporting Service Users to live as independently as possible.

Roles are paid at an hourly rate 12.21, or 26,652.72 annually based on a 42 hour working week. The salary shown is as a per annum equivalent for information only. NLW applies and will be pro rata'd based on hours worked.*

We are flexible regarding working hours / shifts - giving you the flexibility to work around commitments you may already have.

Successful candidates will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment.

Responsibilities



Support service users to lead a full and active life in line with their wishes and choices, considering their assessed needs and individual support and care plans, participating in the development of plans where applicable Support individuals to stay safe, taking appropriate action to safeguard their welfare and protect them from abuse wherever possible Provide emotional support when needed, maintaining a person-centred approach Support service users to participate in chosen social activities and services in their community, manage their finances and medication responsibly, help with practical tasks around the home, and respectfully support with personal care, hygiene and healthcare You will be an informal point of contact for those in the service users circle of support (e.g. Families and Social Workers) Accurately report and record any issues related to the care and support of our Service Users to monitor their health and wellbeing Comply with Health and Safety regulations and have regard for the Health, Safety and Welfare of others

What We're Looking For:



A kind and compassionate individual Confident in lone working and using initiative Honest and responsible individual Must be able to commit to a regular shift pattern and sleep-in rota (shifts occur from Monday to Sunday, depending on assigned shifts). Very reliable as this will be a small team Ability to pick up overtime to cover colleague absences

Skills and attributes of our Care Workers:



Ideally you will have experience supporting adults with Dementia, Mental health, Learning Disabilities including Autism. However, please do still apply even if you have limited experience in these areas as full training will be provided. You need to be a very calm, caring individual with a positive outlook. Empathy, caring and sensitivity to the needs of others. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Computer Literate Car driver desirable but not essential Must live and be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
