We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. This role involves engaging with clients, administering medication, and assisting with daily activities, including meal preparation and personal care.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Document care provided and report any significant changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Assist with first aid as necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
Qualifications
Previous experience in home care, senior care, or assisted living is preferred.
Knowledge of medication administration and first aid practices is essential.
Experience in dementia care or hospice care is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
