Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients, promoting their independence while delivering high-quality care.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment. Implement behaviour management strategies to ensure the safety and comfort of clients. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans. Support clients with hospice care when necessary, ensuring dignity and respect during end-of-life care.

Requirements

Previous experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Understanding of medication administration protocols is beneficial. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
