Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team in Rochdale. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to children and adults in their homes or in the community. The Care Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or in hospice care. Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client health to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Skills

Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly in assisted living and nursing home settings.

Compassionate approach towards individuals with dementia or those requiring hospice care. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Valid driving licence is essential
