Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they reside in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or their own homes. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of care services, ensuring that each client receives personalised attention tailored to their unique needs.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Implement behaviour management techniques as needed for clients with specific challenges. Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns regarding client health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is an asset. A background in nursing or caregiving is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. First aid certification is beneficial; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends. Pay: 12.21-19.63 per hour
