Job Description

We are looking for compassionate Health Care Assistants to provide essential care and support to individuals living in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. This role involves assisting with daily tasks and personal care, as well as providing companionship and emotional support to people in need due to illness, disability, or age-related conditions.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support with mobility, including helping clients get in and out of bed, chairs, or the bathroom. Aid with the use of mobility aids (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs) as needed. Assist clients in taking prescribed medications, ensuring medication schedules are followed. Remind clients of medication times and help with administering as prescribed (under guidance). Prepare and serve meals in accordance with clients' dietary requirements and preferences. Assist with feeding if necessary, ensuring clients are receiving adequate nutrition. Help with light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy environment. Assist with grocery shopping and other errands as required. Provide emotional and social support to clients by offering companionship, engaging in conversation, and participating in activities. Encourage clients to remain active and engaged in their local community or hobbies, where appropriate. Observe and report changes in the client's condition, health, or behavior to the care manager or relevant healthcare professional. Assist in maintaining a safe living environment by identifying potential hazards. Maintain accurate records of care activities, medication administration, and any significant observations. Report any concerns or changes in the client's condition to the relevant staff or management.

Requirements

Female drivers, with a valid full driving license required Previous experience in a care-related role is preferred but not essential. Training may be provided. Shift patterns may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or bank holidays, depending on client needs.

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
