As a Care Worker at CrossReach, you'll support older people with their everyday needs, offering kindness, encouragement and reassurance. The care you provide helps create a safe, respectful environment where people can truly feel at home.

Main responsibilities

Support people with personal care, meals and daily routines Help individuals take part in activities, worship or quiet reflection Provide comfort and emotional support when needed Work as part of a team to keep the environment calm, safe and welcoming Promote independence, dignity and respect in every aspect of care

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults Has experience working in an adult care home or similar setting Is kind, patient and reliable, with a strong sense of teamwork Is flexible and able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays when required Is a practising Christian, comfortable working in a faith-based environment Is willing to work towards SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (we'll support you with this)

Before you start

You'll need to join the PVG Scheme and register with the SSSC. If that's new to you, we'll guide you through the process and support you every step of the way.

As we do our work in Christ's name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.


This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
