In Friendship is a trustworthy one-to-one Home Care & Support Service for older people in Oxfordshire.

We aim to create individual, client-led partnerships, with one of our Care & Support Workers who will improve independence, confidence, overall mental health and wellbeing.

We enhance this service by providing assistance in and outside of the home such as household duties, shopping, day trips, activities and doctor/hospital visits. Within the home we can support with medication and personal care. Everything is tailored to suit our client's needs.

You will be responsible for:



Working with clients using a Person Centered approach to empower them in all aspects of their lives. Supporting clients with medication. Assisting with personal care and supporting clients to maintain good hygiene and take care in their appearance. Handling basic housekeeping duties, helping with laundry and general upkeep of the home (and garden) if required. Planning and preparing meals for clients, taking dietary restrictions and preferences into consideration. Taking a genuine interest in clients by listening to their needs, ensuring that their environment is clean and safe and if required, providing them with nutritious, healthy meals. Encourage clients to improve their well being through exercise, hobbies and social activities. Monitoring clients, recording and reporting any developments or concerns to appropriate parties such as company supervisors, doctors or family members. Driving clients to planned outings, events or scheduled appointments such as doctors, hospitals etc. Handling errands for or with clients such as grocery shopping, paying bills, writing letters etc. Providing emotional support for clients as they heal or cope with their conditions. Helping clients to maintain relationships with their close family and friends. Coordinating clients meeting with new people and helping them to develop new friendships/relationships.
