Job Description

Silver Oaks is a private, fully independent care home situated on the edge of Charnwood Forest in the heart of Whitwick. Our lovely Grade II listed thatched home, once home to William Wordsworth's son, is a beautiful place and we pride ourselves on providing the very best of care to our residents.

We are currently looking to recruit a part-time Care Assistant to Promote a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the service.

Key Accountabilities - Carer role

- Ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing, while respecting their dignity and promoting independence.

- Ensure that services provided meet the standards and uphold the core values, aims and definitions of success at Silver Oaks.

- Support Service Users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community

- Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followed

- Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer of any changes in the needs of Service Users and any matter that will help improve service health and safety

- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

- Experienced in multi-skilled care delivery

- Experience with necessary training to deliver personal care to an excellent standard

- Good time keeping

- Very good written and oral communication skills

- You will be expected to attend a staff induction and progress through a tailored learning and development programme.

- Close proximity to Whitwick would be beneficial

Location, hours & pay

For your time, expertise and caring skills we will provide:

- Based in Whitwick, Leicestershire (LE67 5EW)

- The position offers 7hrs every weekend.

- Holidays calculated on a pro rata basis

- Online and practical training programmes.

- First DBS check to be paid by Silver Oaks

Two references are required and will be checked.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
