We're looking for a strategic and collaborative Library Marketing Manager to help shape the future of library engagement in a rapidly evolving Open Access landscape. This role sits within our Academic Marketing team, supporting key strategic priorities such as Open Access publishing via Transformative Agreements, the shift to digital textbook models, and evidence-based sales approaches for both books and journals. Looking ahead, the role will also contribute to the development of Open Access book models.
You'll lead a team of six marketers across two global offices, working closely with Library Sales colleagues in EMEA and the Americas. Together, you'll drive sales and usage, build market expertise, and adapt to evolving sales models and regional trends. Flexibility and responsiveness to change are essential, as the academic publishing landscape continues to transform rapidly.

The role involves direct engagement with university librarians-both in person and online-and carries measurable business impact, with responsibility for regular reporting and performance benchmarking.

To be successful in this role, you should have significant marketing experience. Experience in managing direct reports, preferably including staff based in other offices, would be advantageous. A background in working closely with sales teams, or direct sales experience, would also be beneficial, though not essential. Strong networking and relationship-building skills are key to success, as developing strong connections across the various Sales Teams will greatly support your effectiveness. It's a team effort! You should also possess a high standard of written English. Occasional travel will be required for this role.
