Careers, Information and Guidance Advisor with Specialist Education Services
29,064 to 31,022 (FTE) depending on experience and qualifications
Are you seeking your next exciting challenge? Do you believe there are 'no limits' to the outcomes that can be achieved for all young people, regardless of background?
This key role with Specialist Education Services aims to develop a personalised Careers, Information, Guidance and Advice response for all young people residing and learning with us.
In order to further develop the personalised curriculum offered in our dual registered schools and children's homes, we are seeking to recruit a creative mind that will recognise the potential in each and every one of our young people, all with social, emotional and mental health complexities.
As our Careers, Information and Guidance Advisor you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute towards the development and delivery of bespoke care and education for our young people. You will work with children at both our dual registered schools and children's homes and, occasionally, with the young adults at our post 16 provisions in Beccles.
This rewarding role requires a high degree of external liaison, organisation and adaptability. SES offers a 'No Limits' approach to the development of this role. The successful individual will be provided with the opportunity to develop their skills and professional qualifications through an outstanding Staff Support and Development Programme and receive a personalised professional development plan to further enhance their skills and expertise in this area.
This role is based on 37 hours per week throughout the year, but there are options available for hours to be reduced to term-time only if preferred by the right candidate. It will require a degree of flexible working in order to support young people in attending open evenings, careers days and work experience as required.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments are dependent on a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
We are an equal opportunity employer with diversity and inclusion at the centre of everything we do.
