Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of food production and kitchen operations Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols Manage inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health regulations Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge Develop new menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a culinary setting Strong background in food production and preparation techniques Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate others Comprehensive knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment is essential Culinary experience with a focus on creativity and innovation in dish creation Understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make decisions under pressure Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Previous restaurant experience is advantageous Ability to serve dishes with attention to detail and presentation
