Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Carers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in our residential home. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive personal care, medication management, and emotional support. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring specialised care such as Alzheimer's, dementia, etc. Candidates should possess a genuine caring nature and be willing to undertake training to develop their skills further.

Responsibilities

Provide personalised care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional requirements are met Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment Manage behaviour and provide emotional reassurance for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's Support clients with mobility issues through safe transfer techniques and the use of mobility aids Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills when necessary Document care activities accurately on our systems and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable Knowledge of resident care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care is advantageous Familiarity with behaviour management techniques for individuals with cognitive impairments Valid driving licence is beneficial due to location

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.44-13.10 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
