Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. This role involves helping clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to supervising staff. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's care needs. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving roles such as senior care, hospice care, or home care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices and basic nursing skills is an advantage. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges. Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial. Certification in caregiving or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
