Summary

As a Caregiver at Breaksea Residential Homes Limited, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents' daily needs and enhancing their quality of life. This position is essential for maintaining a nurturing environment where individuals feel valued and cared for.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere. Monitor residents' health and report any changes to the nursing staff promptly. Ensure a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of assisted living practices and dementia care. First aid certification is highly desirable. Ability to create and follow care plans effectively. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.

This is for permanent nights of 30 hours a week (3 nights) and you will be working as part of a rota and there is a requirement to work some weekends and some bank holidays.

We are currently recruiting for a part time night care assistant position. The shift pattern is 30 hours a week. There is always the opportunity to pick up extra shifts if required. You will be expected to take part in a rota and work part alternate weekends. We welcome applications from both men and women.

Preferably you will have a least a QCF/NVQ 2 in care (or working toward it) - but this is not essential, you will be provided with the opportunity to receive on the job training in order to gain this level. You will also be required to eventually register with Social Care Wales. Your passion and attitude towards providing care for people is as important to us as the qualification. We ask that you treat people with care, compassion, dignity and respect; basically, as you would your own family. The position will be predominantly nights but this may change depending on the needs of the business. If you are this individual we would love to hear from you.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS (this can be paid for by the company and taken as a deduction in your first pay, if you are unable to pay for it upfront). You will also need two satisfactory references and provide explanations for any gaps in your employment history.
