Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and legal requirements Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management techniques Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Drive clients to social activities as required Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Support end-of-life or hospice care with sensitivity and respect

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's, and end of life care Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous Valid driving licence preferred Excellent communication skills and a caring demeanour Ability to handle behavioural challenges with patience and professionalism Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends A genuine passion for caring for others and improving their quality of life

Pay: 12.21-12.82 per hour
