We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Carer/Support Worker to provide essential care and support to individuals with a variety of needs, enabling them to live as independently and fulfilling lives as possible. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our clients by assisting with daily living activities, promoting social engagement, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care:
Assisting clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting, always maintaining dignity and respect.
Medication Support:
Prompting, administering, and/or recording medication as per care plans and training, adhering strictly to protocols.
Mobility and Transfers:
Safely assisting clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Meal Preparation and Nutrition:
Preparing nutritious meals, assisting with feeding, and monitoring dietary intake as required.
Domestic Support:
Undertaking light household duties such as tidying, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
Companionship and Social Engagement:
Providing companionship, engaging in conversation, and supporting clients to participate in social activities, hobbies, and community outings.
Emotional Support:
Offering empathetic listening and emotional support to clients, promoting their mental well-being and confidence.
Health Monitoring:
Observing and reporting any changes in a client's health, behaviour, or well-being to the appropriate supervisor.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, observations, and any incidents.
Communication:
Liaising effectively with clients, their families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Adherence to Policies:
Working in accordance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, including safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
Promoting Independence:
Encouraging and empowering clients to maintain and develop their independence wherever possible.

Pay: 13.68-17.00 per hour
