Golden Horizon Care Home is a warm and compassionate care home situated in the beautiful riverside town of Bewdley, DY12 2ET.

We're now looking for someone who is kind, dependable, and genuinely cares about making a difference in people's lives. You'll need to be a good listener, communicate clearly, and work well both independently and within a team.

If you have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, experience with older adults or dementia care, or training in medication or first aid, that's a bonus, but not a must.

We're happy to support the right person with training and development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our residents to live with dignity, comfort, and joy. Your day-to-day work will include:

Assisting residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene, always with respect for their preferences Supporting at mealtimes such as serving food, assisting with eating where needed, and encouraging good hydration Helping residents move safely around the home and assisting with transfers, like from bed to chair Observing and recording any changes in residents' physical or emotional wellbeing, and reporting these to senior staff promptly Encouraging involvement in social activities, hobbies, and gentle movement to help residents stay active and engaged Administering medication safely and in line with care plans (for those trained to do so)

Pay: 12.21-12.30 per hour
