Young Carers Service

specifically aims to empower young individuals balancing caring responsibilities with their personal development, ensuring they receive both respite and guidance.

The Role

We are looking for a

Carers Education Support Worker

to join our Young Carers team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality individual and group support designed to improve educational outcomes for young carers. You will work alongside the Education Attainment Admin to manage and expand the

Education Attainment Project (EASyc)

, collaborating with schools to provide tailored educational assistance. A flexible approach is necessary, as the role includes evening and weekend work to support the holistic development of young carers through various activities. A driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Provide

individual support

and group work sessions to enhance educational outcomes for young carers. Assist with

day-to-day management

of the Education Attainment Project. Facilitate

respite activities

, including weekly groups, day trips, and residentials. Liaise with

schools and external partners

to champion young carers' needs in education.
