Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. This role involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, and providing emotional support to clients with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or hospice care. Prior experience in senior care or home care is highly valued. All positions are paid and require a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

Providing personalised patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed Administering medication in accordance with prescribed instructions Managing behaviour and implementing care plans for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Offering companionship and emotional support to clients of all ages, including children and elderly individuals Driving clients to appointments or activities when necessary Responding promptly to emergencies by applying first aid procedures when required Heavy lifting may be necessary when assisting clients with mobility or transferring between locations Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques specific to dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or senior care Familiarity with medication administration and basic first aid skills Experience with behaviour management strategies for individuals with cognitive impairments Childcare experience is considered an asset for roles involving younger clients Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring client transportation Candidates should demonstrate strong caregiving skills, patience, adaptability, and a caring attitude toward diverse client needs

Pay: 23,000.00-27,000.00 per year
