12.50 - 13.00 per hour

Hours of Work

: 2 hours per day 9.30 am- 11.30 am, 10 hours per week. Timings Negotiable prior to employment

About the position:

Alamiyah School is a small Montessori Islamic School accommodating children aged 3-11 years.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding member of staff to work in our team whose duties would include, but not be limited to:

General caretaking duties

Maintenance of outdoor areas (including playground areas): sweeping, weeding, cleaning

Manual work

Occasional heavy lifting

DIY and basic onsite repairs

Working collaboratively with staff to help improve the external environment of the School site

Completing and regularly updating documentation relating to specific maintenance tasks on a daily and weekly basis

It would be highly desirable if you have the following skills and competencies:

A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and expectations for a safe School site

Have previous experience within caretaking or a similar role

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work on your own initiative with a flexible nature

Basic handyman skills
