to support the smooth, safe running of our busy Community Centre.
Key duties include:
Opening/closing the building, ensuring safety, security and cleanliness
Setting up rooms, supporting hirers and responding to queries
Routine cleaning, minor maintenance and weekly/monthly safety checks
Monitoring stocks, recording meter readings and maintaining registers
Ensuring outdoor areas, equipment and facilities are clean and well-kept
Acting as a First Aid representative and assisting with ad-hoc tasks
Routine lifting, carrying and moving items
The ideal candidate will be organised, safety-conscious, practical and comfortable working independently.
General working hours are Monday 4.30pm-11.30pm, Tuesday 5.30pm - 11.30pm, weekend hours depending on requirements. Flexibility to help with other hours as needed. We aim to give you at least one totally free weekend each month.
Training is predominantly through shadowing.
You will need to be able to travel to work without reliance on public transport due to operational hours.
Higher pay rates apply on a Saturday and Sunday.
