Caretaker
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Part-time, Permanent (20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Grade: Grade 3 SP 4-6 (FTE 25,185 - 25,989 / Actual 13,613 - 14,048 per annum)
We are looking for a caretaker to work at our Ipswich campus. You will be able, practical and cheerful self-motivated individual. Duties will include premises maintenance/upkeep, security of the buildings and site, ensuring inside and outside environments are well maintained and meeting all Health & Safety requirements.
You will be honest, reliable, hardworking and able to use your own initiative. Good DIY and premises skills are required, as is the ability to plan and carry out minor repairs and jobs competently. You will be committed to achieving high standards in your work, willing to attend courses to develop your expertise and be able to deal with staff, pupils and the public in an efficient and friendly manner.
Working hours will need to be flexible and split shifts maybe required at times. During the term time week we would like someone who can attend each day, but during the school holidays working patterns can be arranged to suit the individual. The school is part of a collaborative, forward thinking Academy Trust with a collaborative and supportive caretaking team across the local school sites.
