12.60 per hour

Hours:

Full-time 40 hours/week (may include evenings and weekends); 8 hour shift

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Caretaker to help us maintain high standards in one of our specialist care homes. Your work will directly contribute to the comfort and well-being of those we support, helping create a safe space where people can truly thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out daily maintenance and minor repair tasks--keeping everything ticking smoothly Conducting regular checks on buildings, vehicles, safety equipment, and outdoor areas Supporting refurbishments, liaising with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations Keeping everything secure, clean, and calming--for residents, visitors, and staff alike

What You Bring

Essential:

Basic maintenance and repair skills (e.g., plumbing, painting, joinery) Strong awareness of health and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH, fire safety) Effective communication and time management skills A proactive and problem-solving mindset

Desirable:

Experience in a care or residential setting NVQ Level 2 in Maintenance or equivalent A full, clean UK driving licence
