Caretaker (part Time)

Job Description

An additional Caretaker is required for Parkfields Community Centre for 2.5 hours a week over 7 days (with the possibility of more hours to meet the demands of the Centre).

Parkfields Community Centre is a welcoming, well-run facility, delivering high quality services to local residents, centre user groups, other service providers and organisations. The Centre Caretaker will play a key role in the assisting with the efficient running of Parkfields, working closely with the Centre Manager, staff and volunteer trustees. The Caretaker will be a key point of contact for the Centre's user groups and will ensure the proper security of the Centre.

Main duties and responsibilities



1. To open and close the Centre as required

2. Prepare rooms - setting out tables and chairs as required

3. Clean tables and chairs and return to storage after each user group

4. To report any damage or cleaning required to the Centre Manager

5. Perform simple repairs to the building as required.

6. To keep the grounds free of litter and drains clear of leaves.

7. To clean external doors

8. To work in accordance with Health and Safety Policies.

9. To be a key-holder for the Centre
