About this Role
In an Caretaker we need someone who is proactive and can use their own initiative, someone who can easily identify areas for repair or defective equipment and take action accordingly. We want someone who is committed to providing a safe and vibrant environment for our students.
As well as the key areas stated in the , as part of this role, we are looking for someone who ideally has a trade behind them, who can assist with decorating, handywork (ie building up furniture, fixing equipment) and someone who has the experience of/or is willing to learn, how to use machinery and tools in our Design Technology Department to be able to support the team with preparing materials for students.
A clean driving licence is a requirement of the role
as the successful candidate will be required to drive the minibus as well as attending to lock up for lettings and alarm call-outs.
Applicants should have a Level 2 or grade 4 or above (C or above) in Maths and English.
We appreciate that there may be applicants with varying experience and as such we will consider the grade of the role depending on the skills the successful candidate will bring.
The working times for this role are alternate shifts (6am - 2pm / 10am - 6pm) as well as these hours, as mentioned abov, there is an expectation that on a rota with other members of the site team, lock up for lettings and alarm call-outs are also covered.
