Caretaker

We are looking for the right person to join our team as our Caretaker. Main responsibilities include assisting the Building & Services Manager in facilitation of regular bookings, meeting their needs and ensuring an excellent experience is had by all who use The GateWay. Maintaining the premises to a high standard inside and out and upholding security & health and safety measures in a timely manner.

Additional tasks involve setting up rooms for larger bookings/events, packing down afterwards. Maintaining the Auditorium in a fit state for use. Emptying bins/cleaning carpets/stacking chairs correctly and carrying out general maintenance and cleaning duties in cooperation with the cleaner.

This role requires flexibility & willingness to regularly work some evenings and on occasion weekends in agreement with the Building & Services Manager. As the public face of YCC and The Gateway on these occasions, an ability to work competently & graciously with all users of the building is required.

Hours: 15 hours a week (additional evenings & weekends as needed)
Salary: 12.60 per hour, 9,875.25
