As our Caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring our main site at Elmsfield Park, Holme is safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will be responsible for the cleaning, security, maintenance, and general upkeep of the premises, including minor repairs, grounds keeping, and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the Business. Adherence to safe working practices, including the use of required PPE, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that the office, production workshop, and all communal areas are clean, tidy and well-maintained at all times.
Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping surfaces in the work area including the workshop areas, bathrooms, kitchens and storage areas.
Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels)
Maintaining cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary
Taking out the rubbish daily
Support the administration team with the monitoring of the heating, lighting and alarm systems.
Carrying out Health and Safety Inspections and reporting necessary repairs
Participate in a preventative planned maintenance programme and for routine inspections of the buildings, fixtures, fittings, furniture, premises and grounds to assess for minor work or repairs requires to be carried out to maintain safe and satisfactory condition; carrying out any minor repairs and maintenance tasks (i.e. unclogging sinks, replacing toilet seats).
Grounds maintenance tasks to include litter picking and general upkeep of the external area.
Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH laws or regulations to make certain that all company Health and Safety policies, procedures are adhered to.
Conducting monthly disinfection and deep cleaning across the site.
Ad-hoc painting/decorating as required.
Distributing, and monitoring milk deliveries, and ensuring that the empty bottles are rinsed and placed outside for collection to align with deliveries.
Monitor the water dispenser stock, and refilling of them as required.
Key Requirements
Essential:
Prior 'handy person', cleaning or caretaking experience.
Knowledge of COSHH.
Ability to work individually, and as part of a team
Excellent eye for detail - must take pride in presentation
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Capable of accurately following instructions and working to a consistently high standard
Good Communicator
Methodical Thinker
Desirable:
Experience in a manufacturing or production-based environment.
Experience of Health and Safety rules and procedures.
Hours
Monday - Thursday - 6:00am - 3:00pm
Friday - 9:30am - 5:00pm / 10:00am - 5:30pm
As this is a new role, we may alter the hours to best suit the needs of the business.
