We are seeking skilled and proactive Caretakers for full-time opportunities at education sites across Greater London. This role involves overseeing day-to-day maintenance, cleaning communal areas, handling minor repairs, and ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and well-presented. You will work with clear responsibilities and the support of a wider property management team.

Responsibilities



Clean and maintain communal areas to a high standard Carry out minor repairs (e.g. mastic, grout, light bulbs, door security) Perform basic plumbing tasks (e.g. changing taps, waste pipes) Carry out basic electrical repairs (e.g. sockets, light switches) Handle basic carpentry (e.g. doors, handles) Conduct fire safety checks (e.g. alarm panels, smoke/heat detectors, fire doors) Diagnose appliance issues and test heating/hot water systems Repair or replace fixtures and fittings Perform lock changes as needed Litter pick external areas and maintain bin areas Ensure proper rubbish disposal

Requirements



Proven experience in caretaking, general maintenance, or facilities management Competence in basic plumbing, electrics, and carpentry Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach Ability to manage time effectively
