The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Caretaker/Premises Assistant to join the Estates and Security Team. The successful applicant will be required to carry out estate maintenance duties and supervise students on the College site.
The post is available immediately on a permanent, full-time basis. The hours of work are from 10.30am to 7.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Previous experience of working as a member of an estates team is desirable, but not essential. The role requires attention to detail and good teamwork skills. The post holder will also spend a significant amount of the working day interacting with students, so the ability to feel confident in the presence of and communicating with young adults is essential.
The post requires commitment and flexibility in the approach to work, with the ability to remain calm at all times.
The role is physically demanding, requires heavy lifting and working at heights. Appropriate health and safety training will be given.
Occasional evening and weekend work is required for which additional payment will be given outside of normal working hours.

The Premises Department
The Department is led by a Director of Estates and IT and a Premises Manager and has an experienced team of Premises Assistants.
Salary
The starting salary for this post is between 27,409 to 27,802 per annum, progressing on annual increments up to 28,970 per annum.
