Job Description

We are looking for a confident, proactive team member to work 6:30 - 8:30am (negotiable) Mon to Fri plus additional hours as required (including call outs). The successful candidate would be comfortable with using computers to record work, flexible in their approach and willing to undertake some repair work and sourcing of products.

Regular duties include opening up the site, fire alarm testing & water run-off, carpark upkeep, vent cleaning among other areas & general maintenance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Site Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Assistant Manager - Operations (Practice Manager in their absence)



HOURS: 10 hours per week (normally 6.30-8.30am (negotiable), Mon-Fri)



Job Summary:



To assume the responsibility for the maintenance of the fabric and facilities of Crown Medical Centre. This will include facilities maintenance, equipment, maintenance of common parts, ground works, security and overall operations, liaising with external contractors as required.

Job Responsibilities:



Responsibility for being the out of hours contact, supervising overall security, and access to Crown Medical Centre

Opening Crown Medical Centre every weekday morning before surgery starts.

Gardening / car park management / premises control and security, including key holding and out of hours on-call duties

Maintenance of common equipment e.g. catering machines, water filters, kitchen facilities, clinical room curtains etc.

Maintenance of all building, decor and grounds.

Testing of practice systems including fire alarm, water run off etc.

Other appropriate duties as requested by and agreed with managers

Input data weekly on to local software in relation to premises checks

Raise any concerns in relation to premises checks.

Responsibilities for reporting health and safety concerns which may affect site users.

Communicate any Operational issues to Operation manager via tasks or action tracker.

Organise regular Fire Drills [Full & Silent drill] with Operation Manager.

Where work cannot be completed in-house to source prices from various companies.

Liaise with contractors to oversee works completed as per premises check requirements

Infection Control:



The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining infection control, to include:

Read and adhere to all infection control policies relevant to the post

Undergo biennial training

Report to the Infection Control and Prevention Lead any breaches of, or concerns, about infection control policies
