We are seeking a skilled Car/light Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing lighting systems across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Lighting Technician will ensure all lighting equipment operates safely and efficiently, contributing to the success of our productions and events. Duties
Install, configure, and operate lighting systems in accordance with project requirements and technical schematics
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lighting equipment to ensure optimal performance
Repair or replace faulty components using appropriate tools and techniques, including welding when necessary
Assemble lighting fixtures and accessories, following detailed instructions and safety standards
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for installation and repair tasks
Read and interpret technical schematics to facilitate accurate setup and troubleshooting
Assist with the organisation and storage of lighting gear, ensuring all equipment is maintained in good condition
Provide excellent customer service by collaborating with production teams to meet their lighting needs
Perform heavy lifting of lighting fixtures or equipment safely during installation or removal processes
Requirements
Proven experience with electrical schematics, mechanical systems, and equipment repair
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Strong mechanical knowledge related to stage or event lighting systems
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during setup or breakdown activities
Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various lighting fixtures and related hardware
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
Flexibility to work in dynamic environments with varying schedules as required by project timelines
Relevant qualifications or training in electrical work, stage technology, or related fields are advantageous
