Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and possess the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are essential.

Duties

Assemble and fabricate wooden structures, frameworks, and fixtures according to specifications. Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precision in cuts and fittings. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete projects. Install roofing components, ensuring proper alignment and structural integrity. Conduct repairs on existing structures, addressing issues such as plumbness and stability. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Lift heavy materials as required, demonstrating physical stamina throughout the workday.

Experience

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry tasks. Familiarity with electrical installations is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical documents accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
